1940′s Ball WWII Era Ball!!!

Last Friday June 18th a very special and unique event was held at the Boulder Airport, the 1940’s Ball! This is a fundraiser to benefit Boulder’s unique air strip. The hanger and the surrounding area was filled with historic memorabilia and decorated for a fantastic party! There were bombers, tanks, jeeps and other vehicles from World War II placed throughout the facility. The guys were sporting zoot suits and wing tip shoes. All were looking quite dapper that evening! The ladies had their hair styled the day of the event to be in theme with the era. Of course they had on the most elegant dresses giving them a dreamboat quality that the men couldn’t resist! Still others were dressed as soldiers and officers from the war with a few helpful (and hopefully a bit naughty) nurses thrown in for fun!  A B25 Bomber was parked right next to the hangar.  The crowd jumped, jived, and wailed until midnight to the live music of Frank Sinatra and The Andrew’s Sister!!! It was an incredible event for all who attended! Mark your calendars for next year’s party and buy tickets in advance! This year was sold out with over 2000 guests in attendance!
